Man charged in shooting of Noxubee sheriff’s son

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – An arrest has been made in the drive-by shooting of Noxubee County sheriff’s son Roman Mattox.

Terrance Fiffer, 39, has been charged with Attempted Murder. He is currently being held at the Clay County Jail on a $3,000,000 bond

Noxubee County Sheriff Terry Grassaree said his son is in stable condition at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Macon Police Chief Davine Beck says more arrests are possible in the case. Investigators are still working to try and get the name of the person who was allegedly with Fiffer when the shooting happened.

One other person has been charged with Accessory after the Fact. Their name has not been released yet.
