Man encourages folks to vote at President Trump’s rally

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)- Thousands poured in from Mississippi and Alabama to get glimpse of President Trump at his rally for Cindy Hyde-Smith.

People were brought in by the bus loads to the Tupelo Regional Airport.

Some folks waited in line since 8 this morning, in the windy, cold temperatures, just to get in.

This is the first presidential visit since Franklin D. Roosevelt.

One Tupelo man says he was there to show his support ahead of Tuesday’s runoff election and was there to encourage everyone to get out and vote.

“Some disagree. But in Life we have disagreements. That’s what we out here to try to do. The people, the people is who decides how this world is run. So, if you want your vote to count, you need to come out and vote,” said John Newcomb.

The polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
