Update: Man Pinned By Truck Dies

Update:

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man is killed in a work related accident Friday.

The incident happened just after 10 AM on Southdown Parkway in Columbus.

Columbus police say the man was apparently trying to help the driver of a truck back up to the home, when the truck suddenly jumped backwards.

Joshua Massey, 34, was pinned between the truck and the house.

Officers tell WCBI the building is being renovated.

Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant says Massey died a short time after being taken to Baptist Golden Triangle.

Massey is the nephew of former Columbus Fire Chief James Massey.

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A worker is in serious condition this afternoon, after being pinned between a truck and a house.

The accident happened just after 10:00 this morning on Southdown Parkway in Columbus.

Police say the unidentified man was apparently trying to help a truck back up to the home when the incident happened.

Officers tell WCBI the building is being renovated.
