MBI Investigates An Officer Involved Shooting

CLARKSDALE, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating a deadly shooting involving an officer and suspect.

It happened Saturday night in Clarksdale, a little after 9.

The suspect who died is 41-year old Patrick Bryant.

MBI says Clarksdale Police responded to a prowler call on the 300 block of Clark Street.

Upon arrival, officers came into contact with Bryant, of Clarksdale, with Bryant being fatally wounded in a backyard of the 200 block of Clark Street.

A weapon was recovered at the scene.

MBI says its department doesn’t identify the officers involved in these types of situations and instead, refers questions to the department involved.
