MDOC chief of staff resigning

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – The woman in charge of Mississippi’s prison system is stepping down.

Pelecia Hall announced her resignation Tuesday.

Hall will be taking a private-sector job in mid- January.

She did not say what the new job would be, but Hall is an attorney with over 20 years experience.

She took over the Mississippi Department of Correction is early 2017 after serving for 2 years as chief of staff.
