MDSH reports high number of COVID-19 cases

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI)- The Mississippi Department of Health is reporting 957 new cases of COVID-19 with 16 new deaths.

There are 21 new cases among long term care facilities within the state.

491 patients are currently hospitalized for confirmed COVID-19 or suspected symptoms.

The total number of cases is 104,638 with 3,096 deaths.

It’s presumed that  90,577 thousand Mississippians have recovered from the virus.
