Memphis Firm Buys Corinth Company

MEMPHIS, Tenn., – Memphis-based total protection company State Systems Inc. today announced the acquisition of Ver-Max Inc. – a fire protection company located in Corinth, Mississippi. The transaction was completed Friday, May 1, and State Systems began servicing existing Ver-Max customers the same day.

Long-known for its fire protection and suppression services in the Mid-South, the move allows State Systems to bolster its reach in the North Mississippi area and marks the fifth company acquisition in nearly 10 years for the family-owned protection and life safety systems company. The acquisition also offers Ver-Max customers access to additional offerings through State Systems’ comprehensive line of fire protection and technology services, including equipment, training and cleaning services; network integration; structured cabling systems and wireless support.

All Ver-Max full-time employees will join State Systems’ existing team servicing the North Mississippi area, bringing State Systems’ total staff to 117 employees.
