Video: Michaels Store Holds Ribbon Cutting in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A new arts and crafts store is officially open for business in Columbus.

Michaels held its grand opening this morning as dozens of people waited for the store to open.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was also attended by Columbus Mayor Robert Smith and other City leaders.

The first 100 people received gift cards and prizes were given away throughout the day.

The store supplies arts, crafts, framing, and even items for school projects.

Michaels will employ more than 60 people at its Columbus location.
