COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) Thanks to the generosity of some local middle school students, dozens of needy residents in Columbus will be a little warmer tonight.

Students from Caledonia Middle School served a hot meal and sang Christmas Carols at Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen. The students collected coats during a school wide coat drive to give to those in need. While this was a first time experience for many of Caledonia Middle School students, they said giving back is what Christmas is all about.
