Millport woman killed in Thursday afternoon wreck

LAMAR COUNTY, AL (WCBI) – An afternoon crash kills a Millport woman.  Alabama state troopers say 31 year old Stephanie Lanette Carter died when her Saturn Vue ran off Highway 17 and hit a tree.  The wreck happened just before 3:30 three miles north of Millport.  Carter was pronounced dead at the scene.
