Video: Miss Mississippi Performs for President

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WCBI) — Not many people can say they’ve performed for the president of the United States.

But Miss Mississippi, Jasmine Murray, can.

She sang “His Eye is on the Sparrow” in front of President Obama, the first lady, and a packed crowd at Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast.

Murray is from Columbus, and attends Mississippi State University.

The National Prayer Breakfast is held on the first Thursday of each February.
