Missing man’s body found in Lafayette County

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A missing man has been found dead.

According to the Oxford Police department and the Lafayette County Sheriff’s office, Saturday afternoon, at 2:15, investigators were called to the Yocona River on Highway 7 South, after receiving a report of a dead body.

The person has been identified as Homer Myers by family members.

Mr. Myers was taken to the state medical examiner’s office in Jackson, by the Lafayette County Coroner.

More information will be released after an autopsy has been conducted.
