Two Mississippi furniture makers fuse together

Two north Mississippi furniture makers are combing forces, to employ more than 2,000 people.

Southern Motion has acquired Fusion Furniture.

The two entities will operate separately.

Southern Motion makes upholstered motion furniture and Fusion makes stationary furniture.

This agreement means the companies will have more than 2 million square feet to make their products.

Southern Motion has five Mississippi based facilities, while Fusion has four.
