Mississippi releases unemployment rate for June

MISSISSIPPI (WCBI) – Mississippi’s unemployment rate for the month of June holds steady.

Mississippi’s jobless rate is 5%, unchanged from May’s.

The labor force, which is made up of everyone who has a job or is looking for a job, increased in June by 2,900.

Since June 2018, the number of unemployed Mississippians increased by 2,800.
