Mobile COVID-19 testing coming to three Northeast Mississippi counties

Drive-through COVID-19 testing is coming to three Northeast Mississippi counties.

Monday, testing is underway in Chickasaw County from noon until 4 p.m. at the Okolona Vocational Center located at 605 N. Church Street.

Tuesday testing will be set up in Yalobusha County at the Oakland Fire Department on 13863 Hickory Street.

Then on Wednesday, a mobile testing site will be at Columbus High School in Lowndes County at 215 Hemlock Street.

You must have an appointment to get tested.

In order to set up an appointment, you can use the C-Spire Health app or call a UMMC clinician at (601)- 496-7200.

Anyone who is showing coronavirus symptoms, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat, or who had a known or potential exposure to the virus can be tested.

You will not have to leave your car while being tested for the virus.

Over 7,000 Mississippians have been tested at the mobile coronavirus testing sites.
