Monroe County restaurant building deemed total loss after catching fire

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Monroe County restaurant went up in flames Sunday night.

Several volunteer firefighters reportedly worked to get the blaze under control at the old Holley’s Fish and Steak restaurant.

Despite their best efforts, the building was a total loss. The old restaurant was located on Bigbee Cutoff Road.

It was not operational at the time of the fire and had not been open for a while.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
