MS Department of Public Safety commissioner announces retirement
JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – A new year will bring a new commissioner for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
Marshall Fisher announced Tuesday he is leaving the department on January 31.
Fisher said he is stepping away to pursue other opportunities.
He was appointed to the position by Governor Phil Bryant in 2017.
Before that, Fisher worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration in several different positions.
