MSDH is reporting 1,457 new COVID-19 cases and 3 deaths

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 1,457 new cases of Covid-19 and 3 new deaths.

There are 209 outbreaks of the virus in long-term care facilities within the state.

In our area, Lowndes County is showing the most new cases with 26.

Pontotoc County has 25 cases; Lafayette has 24 and Lee County has 23.

Statewide, more than 253,000 people have been infected with the virus. More than 5,500 have died.
