MSMS students take part in national walkout on Columbine anniversary

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Marking 19 years since the Columbine mass shooting, students around the country took part in a national walkout today.

Above, students at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science, in Columbus, participated in the national movement.

Many students are pushing for stricter gun control, and honoring victims of gun violence.

The country has already over a dozen school shootings in 2018 alone.

More recently, national headlines were drawn to Parkland, Florida where 17 students were killed.
