STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — We are one week away from the start of a new school year at MSU and more students then ever are expected to be seated when class starts.
MSU President Dr. Mark Keenum says he expects this year to be another one for the record books, bringing in the largest freshman class so far.
Although final numbers aren’t in yet, the university says so far about 400 more freshman have enrolled than last year.
“We are expecting another record enrollment here at Mississippi State. A record freshman class, we’re very encouraged by not only the numbers of students that are choosing to come to come to Mississippi State, but the quality of the students that are coming and choosing to get their education at our university,” says Dr. Keenum.
Dr. Keenum says he hopes the growing enrollment numbers continue to be a trend.
