MUW celebrates nearly 400 graduates

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi University for Women added nearly 400 new members to the “Long Blue Line.”

The summer graduation ceremony was held Friday afternoon at MUW’s Rent Auditorium.

379 students graduated in areas of study ranging from a Masters of Business Administration and Nursing to a bachelor’s degree in applied science or fine arts.

The executive director of the Mississippi Board of Nursing, Phyllis Polk Johnson, gave words of encouragement to the graduates.

She encouraged graduates to care and be great in this next endeavor of life.
