MUW names new chief financial officer

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi University for Women announced their new administration and chief financial officer.

Mark Ellard started Monday.

He brings over 20 years of experience in higher education and administration in Alabama.

“I am honored to be selected as the vice president for administration and chief financial officer, and I look forward to contributing in this new role. The W is an outstanding institution and has a strong tradition of serving of this community, as well as the state of Mississippi,” said Ellard.

Some of Ellard’s responsibilities will include all areas of finance and administration, resources management and University Accounting at the W.

His appointment is pending approval by the state Board of Trustees, Institutions of Higher Learning. Their next meeting is January 17.
