MUW Offers Students A Way To Relax

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi University for Women students are treated to a massage on Wednesday.

The Student Programming Board offers massage chairs where students sit for 15 minutes, leaving the stresses of exams behind.

Scented eye pillows and soothing music also provided a calming breaking from papers and assignments.

Students say it’s a nice break during the rush up to spring break.

“School is stressful and working a job can be stressful, and I love these massage chairs. I go get my feet done all the time. So, I can sit in the massage chair and get massaged. It feels great. It’s just like the stress just melts away,” said MUW student Elizabeth Salmon.

This is the first year the SPB has offered the relaxation day.

Spring break begins next week.
