National Day of Prayer at Lowndes County courthouse

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – National Day of Prayer brings a large crowd with song and worship to the Lowndes County courthouse.

Unity was a big theme in Thursday’s ceremony.

Prayers were given for government leaders, first responders, and families.

Columbus Christian Academy first graders performed.

Speakers also talked about watching over our nation’s veterans and military.

The event is held each year on the steps of the courthouse.
