New Albany Bank Robbery Suspect Identified

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Jasper man allegedly involved in several Alabama bank robberies is behind bars in New Albany.

Police Chief Chris Robertson tells WCBI they’ve arrested 45-year-old Kerry Harbin after he robbed the Coulter Drive Renasant Bank Friday afternoon.

Investigators are charging him with robbery and attempted aggravated assault on a police officer.

Robertson says Harbin is believed to be involved in several attempted and successful bank robberies in Alabama.

His bond in New Albany has not been set yet.
