NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) — Homeowners itching for a chance to get out in the yard have plenty of places to go this weekend.

The Union County Master Gardeners are expecting as many as 3,500 people today and Saturday for their fifth annual home and garden show at the fairgrounds in New Albany.

Friday, hundreds of people were grabbing up everything from flowers, shrubs and vegetables to wind chimes and lawn furniture as the show opened.

Amateur landscapers also can get tips from experts.

“Just about anything you want to find in a plant is here, just about anything you want to find in yard art is here,” said show chairman Tim Burress.

The event is free and continues from 8 until 3 Saturday.
