Video: New Clinic Deal Coming For Lowndes County Employees

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – Lowndes County employees will soon be able to go to a new primary care clinic for free.

Supervisors agreed to contract with Baptist Memorial Health Care system at its meeting this morning.

The medical facility will open 30 days after the paperwork is signed.

Lowndes County will pay a monthly fee. The yearly total will be about $225,000 thousand dollars.

Employees will not have to pay anything.

The city of Columbus and Columbus Light and Water will consider joining the same clinic under a similar agreement.
