New Embezzlement Case Crops Up In Pontotoc

PONTOTOC (WCBI)  Another government worker in Pontotoc County is accused of theft.    State Auditor Stacy Pickering says Michelle Boone with the City Of Pontotoc Park and Recreation Department is accused of taking over $15,000 from the city.

 Pickering says Boone kept a portion of the citizen fees and deposits she was receiving in her role as Special Events Coordinator for the Park and Rec.   The alleged embezzlement took place between January 2015 and March 2016.

Her arrest comes on the heels of another auditor investigation which led to the arrest of 2 former Ecru city employees
