New Fitness Equipment

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Heritage Elementary students will be getting fit with some new equipment.

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation provided a $29,000 grant to the school.

Indoor and outdoor fitness equipment, curriculum, and training was paid for through the Project Fit America Program.

Students checked out the new gear after today’s ribbon cutting ceremony, October 12.

There was also a musical performance by third graders.
