A New Health Care Approach At Choctaw Regional Medical Center

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – New processes and programs are rolling out at the Choctaw Regional Medical Center.

The Accountable Care Organization Program launch with Caravan Health took place at the hospital on Tuesday.

It brought doctors, the hospital’s board of trustees, residents, and community leaders together.

Louisville Medical Center Administrator Brooke Eaves says it’s a part of a very holistic approach to healthcare.

The new way looks into a different ways into treating a patient and preventing chronic disease.

“A shared savings program and to really utilize our primary care physicians and our primary care clinics to keep patients in the community healthier, to go from a more quantity and counter based type of care, to a more quality based care,” said Eaves.

Eaves says the approach has been around since 2015 and is just now making its way to the Southeast.
