New Train Stops in Amory

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) — A North Mississippi city known for its railroad adds another train to its collection.

On Thursday, the Amory Regional Railroad Museum showed off its new 52-foot-long model train display to WCBI.

A Jackson museum brought the display to Amory in February, and it’s taken workers six weeks to put it together.

“Amory was built as a railroad town, and the railroad roots run very very deep here, and this kind’ve pays a tribute to our history and our heritage,” said Bo Miller, museum director.

The museum will be open to the public from 2 to 4 p.m. July 13 through 15.
