New Voter Website Up And Running In Oktibbeha County
STARKVILLE ( WCBI) -A Starkville group is rolling out a new resource for voter education targeting the Starkville and Oktibbeha County electorate.
The Starkville-Oktibbeha Voter Education Initiative has launched a new websitte to assist local voters. The new site contains resources for local voters, including important voter dates and deadlines, frequently asked election questions, links to maps, and a polling place locator. Initially, the website will serve as a general voter resource for this fall’s elections. The website will boost its presence next year by adding an online candidate guide for May’s local elections, Initiative will sponsor a candidate forum for City of Starkville Board of Aldermen races, allowing citizens to hear directly from candidates on their policy positions and values. Director Jay Hurdle said the Initiative’s mission is straightforward. “We are constantly bombarded by ads and media attention on federal and even statewide campaigns. However, in many ways, our day-to-day lives are affected far more by the decisions from local government than from Congress.” You can check out the Initiative at the following location
