Nice Today; Storms Return Saturday.

TODAY: Sunny, breezy, and warmer. Highs in the mid 60s. Winds out of the south at 5-15 mph gusting to 20 mph at times. Clouds begin to increase overnight. Lows in the mid 40s.

SATURDAY: Thunderstorms likely, mainly in the afternoon and evening. We will continue to mention the possibility of a strong or isolated severe storm through the afternoon and overnight, however the greatest threat for any severe weather looks to be in south Mississippi. Having said that, models are a bit disorganized to be so close to the event, and some things could still change, so stay tuned to the forecast and make note of any changes. Isolated flash flooding will likely be the greatest threat from this event in our area, as a quick inch or two of rain could fall in training thunderstorms. High temperatures on Saturday will climb into the 60s. Overnight lows in the 50s.

SUNDAY: As moisture wraps around the back of this system, clouds and rain showers stick around on Sunday. Highs in the low 60s, and lows in the 30s.

NEXT WEEK: We stay dry and cool through Thursday. Highs slowly climb from the mid 50s Monday to the low 60s by Thursday, with sunny conditions all week. Low temperatures look to drop at or around freezing Monday-Wednesday nights.
