No Sign of Fall as Heat Wave Continues

Above average temperatures will continue into next week with highs climbing into the mid 90s each day. Rain chances will remain minimal as our unusually dry stretch of weather continues. There are hints of a cold front by late next week, but it’s too soon to pin down any details.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Staying pretty mild overnight with just a few clouds. Lows near 70.

SUNDAY: The heat is staying on for Sunday with highs in the mid 90s with plenty of sunshine. Heat index values will approach 100°, so stay hydrated if you need to be outside for any extended period of time.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Another clear and mild night with lows near 70 across the area.

MONDAY-WEDNESDAY: Much of the same as hot weather continues…sunny skies, no rain chances, and highs in the mid 90s. Definitely feeling more like summer than early fall.

THURSDAY-SATURDAY: A few models are hinting at a cold front coming through the area on Thursday, bringing increased rain chances and cooler temperatures. We’re not sold just yet, so we’ll call it a 20% chance for rain for Thursday and Friday and keep highs in the low 90s through the weekend. This is subject to change as models get a better handle on the situation.
