North Mississippi Health Services announces furloughs

Multiple clinical facilities have taken a huge hit in terms of staffing for their employees.

Thursday, the North Mississippi Health Services announced that their volume of patients decreased from 40-60% in the past three weeks.

With few patients utilizing medical services, there’s an estimated loss of $28 million per month if no relief efforts are taken into action.

Several local medical centers and practices said they had to reduce their employees by at least half.

This meant they will continue to make schedules changes in order to match the number of patients they treat.
