Noxubee Shooting Victim Dies

BROOKSVILLE (WCBI) – A Brooksville man shot by his son last week has died.

Noxubee County Coroner R.L. Calhoun tells WCBI that Elvis Shields, 49, died Thursday morning at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

His son, Everett Shields was arrested last week on a aggravated assault charge but those charges are expected to be upgraded by Brooksville Police.
