Off Duty Columbus Officer Injured In ATV, Bus Crash

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – An ATV and school bus collided Thursday afternoon on a busy east Columbus road, injuring an off duty officer.

The crash happened just before 3 P.M. on Alabama Street, near the Highway 69 intersection.

It’s unclear how the accident occurred.

Multiple sources confirm to WCBI that off duty Columbus motorcycle officer Glenn Jenkins was driving the four-wheeler.

A city spokesman says the crash remains under investigation and could not confirm the name of the injured person.

Police have not released the condition of the person injured in the crash.

ATV’s are not street legal in Columbus.
