Oktibbeha County Humane Society host Rabies and Microchip Clinic
STARKVILLE MISS. (WCBI)- The Oktibbeha County Humane Society held a microchip and rabies clinic Saturday.
Pet owners were encouraged to stop and get their furry friends a rabies shot for five dollars and microchipped for $15.
This is the Mississippi Bureau of Animal Health’s way of helping keep the pet population rabies-free.
Vice President of the Humane Society Ardra Morgan said it’s important for pets and humans to be protected.
“We’re hoping to get about 100 dogs and cats at least given their rabies today and also to get microchips on some of these dogs and cats,” Morgan said.
This event was open to everybody; there were no income or residency requirements.
