Ole Miss Chancellor Visits West Point

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) — The chancellor of the University of Mississippi made a stop in West Point, Thursday.
Dr. Jeff Vitter spoke to the local rotary club members, as well as university alumni.
Vitter says that his goal for making his rounds around Mississippi is to reach out to the local communities and inform them face to face as to the great things the university has in store.
With pressures to have the best equipment and an unpredictable state budget, Vitter isn’t worried about the university not coming out on top.
“We’re working hard to help build the economy in Mississippi through entrepreneurship through starting new companies through attracting business into the state,” said Vitter.
Vitter says he hopes the university will continue to attract the brightest in Mississippi.
