Ole Miss Identifies Boosters Tied To NCAA Sanctions

OXFORD (WCBI) – Ole Miss Athletic Department officials have identified most of the boosters involved in the schools NCAA sanctions.

The school today posted the names of the people who made improper payments or contact with prospective football players.  The names missing are those of the boosters who current Mississippi State University football player Leo Lewis told investigators paid him thousands in an effort to get him to attend Ole Miss.  Those names are not included because they have sued in an effort tohave their names blocked from public disclosure.  That case is pending before the Mississippi Supreme Court.  Ole Miss says it will release those names if the Supreme Court denies the boosters request to remain secret.
