Over-sized load causes morning delays on Highway 45 in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An 18-wheeler carrying an over-sized load caused delays in Monroe County earlier this morning.

It happened in the northbound lane on Highway 45 Alternate past Highway 41.

Mississippi Highway Patrol MSgt. Criss Turnipseed says the truck was trying to turn around in the road when it jack-knifed.

A crane was called in for removal of the over-sized load.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation says it happened a little after 9 and the lane was cleared about 2 this afternoon.

MHP reports no injuries.
