Oxford Child Dies After Being Hit By Family Car

OXFORD (WCBI) – An Oxford child is dead following a tragic accident Sunday afternoon.

Oxford Police say 9 year old Henry Miller had climbed inside his family’s car and accidentally knocked it into neutral. The car began rolling down the driveway of the Whippoorwill Lane home. The child tried to get out of the car but fell into the path of the wheels. His parents carried the child to the emergency room but staffers were not able to save him.    Oxford Police say there are no other injuries involved and no charges are pending in the death.
