Oxford Man Arrested For Strong-Arm Robbery

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – An Oxford man is arrested after a man accuses him of stealing his shades.

Yesterday, Oxford Police arrested 20-year-old Daniel Ford.

On Sunday, Ford allegedly robbed a man at Oxford Wheel Estates.

The victim was working on his house when he says Ford approached him, snatched his sunglasses off of the top of his head, and then pushed him down as he ran away.

The man then called 9-1-1 to report the theft, gave police a description of the suspect, and officers began the search.

They spotted Ford shortly after, and Ford immediately ran.

He led police on a short foot chase, but he was soon taken into custody.

Ford was charged with one count of strong-arm robbery and his bond was set at $2,500 dollars.
