Oxford Police Department investigate Walmart bomb threat

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI)-Oxford Police are investigating a bomb threat in a Walmart Supermarket.

The threat was called in around 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Agencies with explosive K9s responded to the scene to assist with searching the Walmart facility.

Customers and employees all evacuated the building safely.

Oxford Police Department currently has a person of interest in custody and the area will be closed off for an undetermined amount of time.

This incident is under investigation.
