Oxford Woman Arrested for Embezzlement

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — An Oxford woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing from her former employer.

Oxford police say they’ve arrested 25-year-old Carrie Cowart for embezzling more than $100,000 from Chaney’s Pharmacy.

Investigators say Cowart has been taking money from the pharmacy for the last couple of years.

She was released from jail on $25,000 bond.
