People without water as city of Reform works to repair water system

REFORM, Ala. (WCBI) – Citizens of Reform, Alabama are currently experiencing loss of water to their homes and businesses.

About five days ago, there were leaks discovered in the water tank in Reform. A few days later, it was discovered that one of the wells was not working at full capacity. The water system in Reform is old and unreliable causing these ongoing issues.

Despite the challenge, the city is working to fix the issue. They are also giving out cases of water to residents.

The volunteers handing out the water spoke about the issue and how it felt to help their community.

“I’d probably say it has affected different people in different ways. Like, some people have a little amount of water and some have, like, none. So I would probably say, it is having a slight negative effect,” said Isaiah Stevenson, a volunteer.

“It feels good man to give back to your people. When folks are out, you still got to pull up and be the man and do things for them,” said Tadarien McIntosh, a volunteer.

The city hoped to have the issue fixed as soon as possible.
