Pickens Academy Teacher Facing More Charges

PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – A Pickens Academy teacher is facing more charges of having sex with a student.

Charli Parker, 30, is now charged with 11 counts of a school employee having sex with a student.

Parker was arrested Monday.

District Attorney Chris McCool says the allegations involve one male student and did not take place on school grounds.

He adds the investigation into the case is ongoing.

Parker is the head coach of the women’s basketball team and a P.E. teacher at the school.
