NESHOBA CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A pilot makes an emergency landing on a Neshoba County highway this afternoon.
Sheriff Tommy Waddell says the plane landed on Highway 21, about two miles north of Philadelphia.
The pilot was on his way to Birmingham to pick up some passengers when the engine died just after takeoff.
Waddell says the owner of the plane, who is from Louisiana, was in Philadelphia for the holiday.
No one was injured in the emergency landing.
The wings of the plane were damaged from hitting some road signs but nothing extensive.
