Police Look For Kidnapping Suspect

TUPELO (WCBI) – Tupelo Police are turning to a sketch artist to try and expand a kidnapping investigation.   The case  goes back to July 4th where someone tried to abduct a 7 year old girl on Mitchell Street in South Tupelo.

The child was able to escape and has given enough of a  description for an artist to come up with this composite sketch.    The kidnapper is a black man in his mid 40’s with short or balding hair.    Another key piece of evidence police have uncovered is that the man had a large dark brown dog in the car with him at the time.  That car is a silver Pontiac Grand Prix possibly a mid 2000 model.

TPD is asking for any public assistance in identifying the suspect. Attached is an image of the composite. Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to contact Tupelo Police or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi at 1-800-773-TIPS.
