Pontotoc Teen Dies In Tuesday Crash

Troopers are still investigating a Tuesday afternoon crash in Pontotoc County that claimed the life of a teen.

Troopers responded to the intersection of MS 41 and Pontocola Rd at approximately 2:45p.m. Upon arriving, it appeared Arianna Fallin, 20, of Randolph, was traveling north on MS 41 when she lost control of her 2006 Nissan Altima, causing it to overturn.

Fallin was airlifted to NMMC with life threatening injuries.

There were two passengers in Fallin’s vehicle.

Carson Craig, 18, of Pontotoc, was transported to NMMC and later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Shelby Luther, 18, of Pontotoc, was transported to NMMC with serious injuries.

All three occupants were ejected from the vehicle. It appears none of the occupants were wearing seat belts.

MHP is investigating to see if speed was a contributing factor to the crash.
